Hayden and Kaitlyn met at Texas A&M’s Freshman Orientation Camp, Fish Camp, in the summer of 2022. Hayden was serving as a co-chair for Camp Burch, and Kaitlyn had been selected as a counselor for the same camp. What started as a co-chair and counselor relationship quickly turned into a friendship that continued to grow over the following year and a half.

Throughout 2023, their connection deepened as they spent more time together, but when Hayden graduated from Texas A&M and moved to Houston, they remained just friends... at least for a little while. Despite the distance, Hayden made frequent trips back to College Station, and somehow, they always found their way back to each other. The Fall of 2023 was filled with Burger Mojo dates, game nights, and countless adventures on Northgate.

In December of 2023, Hayden FINALLY worked up the courage to ask Kaitlyn to be his girlfriend. From there, their relationship took off, marked by lots of miles on the road between Houston and College Station. Even while long-distance, they made the most of every moment- traveling across Texas together, attending the Houston Rodeo, visiting South Padre Island, cheering at Rangers games, exploring the Texas State Fair, going to Texas A&M football games, and spending time with family in San Antonio and Arlington.

Their season of engagement has been just as sweet. Now both living in Friendswood, Texas, they’ve loved building a life filled with simple joys like trying new restaurants, watching and rating movies, playing pickleball, and going to weekly trivia. One of their favorite traditions is “Pizza Friday,” a weekly ritual they’ve come to cherish and share with friends and family whenever they can. They started this tradition in 2024, hoping to start something special to eventually include their children. It only felt fitting to celebrate their wedding on a Friday... because there’s no better day than Pizza Friday.
